The 9.Solutions Snap-in socket is a connection that makes it possible to attach 5/8"" studs or spigots to, for example, a clamp or hinged arm so that you can then place or attach equipment to it. The snap-in socket can be mounted on a tripod or clamp using the 3/8"" screw thread. The stud or spigot is then firmly locked in place using the snap-lock.
